Not Sure If You Have MiniDV?

MiniDV was introduced in 1995 and quickly became the standard for consumer and prosumer camcorders through the mid-2000s. The tiny cassette measures just 2.6" × 1.9" × 0.5" — the smallest mainstream video format ever made. Despite its compact size, MiniDV records native digital video at 720 × 480 resolution (NTSC) using the DV codec, delivering 500+ lines of resolution — significantly sharper than analog formats like VHS or Hi8.

Because MiniDV stores data digitally on magnetic tape, a bit-perfect MiniDV to digital transfer captures every frame exactly as it was recorded, with no generation loss. We also digitize Digital8 tapes, which use Sony's larger 8mm-size cassettes but record in the same DV digital format. If your camcorder tapes are very small (roughly the size of a credit card) or say 'DV', 'MiniDV', or 'Digital8' on them, send them in — we handle all three.
